Modellist-ID and the Conservatorium Hotel invited my sister, Elaja, and me for a diner at the Tunes Bar. Do you like Gin-Tonic? I really do! And guest what? The Tunes Bar is known for their wide range of 30 different types of Gins and 6 types of tonics, wow! They also serve all kinds of Asian tapas and delicious sushi served with pairing Sake! We were very excited to visit this hot spot in the cultural centre of Amsterdam.
The Tunes Bar is located inside the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam. The first thing we saw when we arrived in the elegant yet casual Tunes Bar, were all kinds of Gins standing in a cabinet, lit up with light. Behind the bar were two friendly bartenders, they told us everything about their cocktails, champagnes and especially G&T’s. Besides the drinks menu, they could make whatever cocktail we wanted! With a big smile we chose the Fifty Pounds (1724 Tonic and Strawberries) and Hendrick’s (Fever-Tree Indian Tonic and Cucumber) and a plate with a selection of sushi from the chef’s special.
The Tunes bar has a chic decor, with lots of dark colours, designed by the famous Piero Lissoni. We moved from the bar to a perfect spot nearby a large window, at a big long transparent table. We ordered a plate with a selection of different kinds of sushi and sashimi; the sashimi of Hamachi (white tuna fish) was my favourite!
My sister and I had a cosy diner, in a chic atmosphere with friendly and helpful waitresses and bartenders with great knowledge of especially all kinds of G&T’s. Thank you Conservatorium and Modellist-ID, we had a lovely time at the Tunes bar!!
