Summer has started in Cape Town, and so has the model-season! From October till April ‘16, Cape Town will be filled with stunning models, great jobs and boiling hot sun ☺
I’ve done 2 seasons in Cape Town and last season I’ve travelled up and down numerous times for clients, but this season I have to skip. For a great reason though cause I’m a proud pregnant lady at the moment ☺ Therefore I’ve asked my friend Maike Belderok to help me out, she is doing her 2-months season in Cape Town at the moment. She helped me out finding new hotspots in town so go and visit them if you’re around!
ORCHARD – JUICE & HEALTH BAR
This juice & health bar popped up in 2013 on Long Street, right in the city center of Cape Town. The Orchard-team starts cold-pressing juice at 1am so all juices are freshly made when they open at 9am, how fantastic is that! Favorite juice of my friend Maike is the ‘black magik’. It contains lemon, apple, activated charcoal, ginger, dandelion. This juice helps aid liver and digestive health.
Besides their juices they serve fresh salads, fruit bowls and wraps.

SHIFT – COFFEE PLEASE
A great hotspot where lots of creative people come in and grab their coffee in the morning. Espresso, straight-up black, ice coffee, flat white, they have it all. A great place to do some work on your laptop or to catch up with friends with a hangover..

LOADING BAY – EAT, SHOP, SLEEP, REPEAT
This place has the most amazing cinnamon buns, according to Maike. And I must say, their menu makes me mouthwatering..
But, they offer you more then just great food. They sell nice clothing, accessories and great beauty products in their little shop. Oh, and only on Thursday nights they serve amazing burgers.. ssshtt..

JASON BAKERY – GUILTY PLEASURE HOTSPOT
Okay, let’s be honest. Every one likes a big fat croissant or sweet bun ones in a while. Everyone has a guilty pleasure, and mine is sweet pastry… Well, if it kicks in, just run to Jason Bakery on Bree Street and pick your treat. Just check his facebook in the meanwhile, there’s some nice video’s and pictures on their which make you finger licking…

SHIMMY BEACH CLUB – WANNA DANCE?
I must be honest; this place is definitely not one of my favorites. But, since Maike helped me out with this list, I mention this one as well since it’s a very popular place ☺
Fancy a night out with cocktails, nice music and stunning people? Then visit Shimmy on Sunday nights. DJ Goldfish owns the DJ-booth on Sunday’s and will make you dance all night long. Shimmy’s build a little beach, in the middle of V&A Waterfront. You will for sure have a great night with friends!
Have fun in this amazing city of South Africa!!
