Kirstenbosch, Cape Town

October 22, 2013 by Saskia Kok

When we asked fashion model and member Saskia Kok about her favorite hang out spots in her favorite city she said:

‘Cape Town! I absolutely love the vibe and atmosphere. I love hanging out at the beach (Camps Bay or Clifton) and Kirstenbosch is also a really nice hang out place. In summer they have different open-air concerts, almost every Sunday.’

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, located against the eastern slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain, is acclaimed to be one of the great botanical gardens of the world. This 36-hectare garden is filled with a wide variety of unique and beautiful plants. The magical setting, just under the mountains, also is amazing.

Great place to spend the day, enjoy the sunshine, the beautiful plants and views, to attend Pop and Xmas concerts or to have a picnic or lunch at their cafe. The concerts are held on Sunday evenings during summer months (late November until early April). For tickets got to www.webtickets.co.za or to the Kirstenbosch Ticket Office.
