From ambiance to fresh food, model, Jeannette Huisman, gives us some insider info on why we must visit Berlin’s Café Krone!
Sundays are for brunch! It seems like everyone in Berlin thinks this way as every café/terrace is packed from 9.30-14.30. So on our way to the famous Sunday flea market in Mauerpark we went for brunch in the Oderberger strasse, just across the park. Basically this whole street is full of really nice café’s. But one of my favorites is Krone!
Its very popular, with locals as well as tourists, with a super ambiance and oh so comfy chairs. A nice selection on the menu with options like pancakes with eggs & bacon, traditional cheese boards, yummy cakes, fresh orange juice, pots of tea and excellent coffee at a perfectly reasonable price. (catered for vegetarian as well ).
The food was fresh, with good-sized portions. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The service was very good with pleasant staff and the menu was also subtitled in English!
After brunch here, or just a ‘café und kuche’ your tummy is more then well ready to go and find some great treasures at the flea market!
