Model Hotspot: Hotel Du Nord, Paris

Parisian Boho Buzz

An institution among Parisians in the know, restaurant/bar Hôtel du Nord with its cozy cosmopolitan atmosphere and young, beautiful and charming crowd, makes it one of the city’s highly recommended places to go to. Although most of the other restaurants and bars along the Canal St Martin attract a young, professional and fun crowd, this venue really is one of the best.

Hotel du Nord originally became famous thanks to the 1930’s film with the same name by French film director Marcel Carné. The place does not offer rooms anymore but the interior of the restaurant and bar still evoke the thirties, right down to the table lamps and has lots of lit candles and dark woods. There’s a lovely small bar to enjoy a nice drink. In the restaurant you will find traditional as well as creative fusion dishes on the menu. Although not inexpensive, prices aren’t crazy either. Furthermore, Hotel du Nord has a very attentive and courteous staff.

If you really feel like experiencing the Parisian boho buzz, don’t miss out on this gem!
