If you are in New York city and you are looking for a cozy place to have a nice lunch, then Tiny’s is a good spot to go to. The appearance of the building is quite outward when you approach the building, cause it’s squeezed in between 2 buildings taller than Tiny’s. The place definitely stands out charmingly between the other two buildings. It’s tiny but cozy!
The atmosphere is very ‘homey’ which is not strange since this placed used to be a living room and the owners of this restaurant made sure that while seated in the back of the restaurant, you can imagine you are having a lunch in a cozy house originating from the beginning of the 20th century. There’s a fireplace in the back of the restaurant and they didn’t renew the wall of the living room, to get the ancient atmosphere going. This place is very intimate, there are candles everywhere, it is small, cozy and is very dimly in light. The service is friendly and quick and you can hear music from ‘The Whitest Boy Alive’ in the background, which is definitely a good choice. On the menu you will find the exceptional salad…the KALE salad, a real must and apparently the meatballs are also very good we heard from the waiter. If you prefer to sit upstairs with more lighting you can.
Kale salad, with walnuts, local apples, maple-mustard vinaigrette, carrots, shredded Gouda cheese.
