LA PALETTE - A DRINKING MONUMENT IN PARIS

Located in the sixth district of Paris, a cross street between `La Rue de Seine and La Rue Jacques-Callot`, you will cross this classic bar La Palette. La Palette is decorated with beautiful ceramics dating from the 1930-40`s, with a great collection of paintings. La Palette has two different rooms; first you enter the small and closed next to the bar and the second room is a bigger room with all the ceramic decoration flourishing on the wall. But La Palette gets an even better dimension while sitting outside on its famous big terrace which leads into la rue Jacques-Callot. The interior is also listed on the Historical Monuments list, so is worth having a look at.

You can feel this mystic atmosphere in this bar, the one of artists and philosophers which is not very strange after all, since the bar is a gathering of the students of Beaux-Arts. Back in the days people like Cezanne, Picasso, Braque, Ernest Hemingway and Jim Morrison used to hang out in this place as well, so you can definitely state this place is a classical terrace/bar, a must have to visit.

This cafe has been tipped by fashion model Linda Jeuring. Thanks Linda!
