Luckily the times have changed and eating fast-food isn’t your only option anymore in the US. In New York the opposite is happening and there are many nice places to go when you want to eat a healthy meal. In the past two months I had the chance to discover lots of nice places but my number one favorite is Tartinery!
Tartinery has different locations but the first Tartinery restaurant I discovered was in Mulberry Street in Nolita. The restaurant is very beautiful as you can see on the pictures but you would have to check it out yourself to experience the great ambiance.
There are many healthy and delicious choices on the menu but Tartinery is also a really nice place to go out for lunch or dinner with your friends or your boyfriend. The menu is very extensive and they also offer very good wines. You can have a delicious meal from good quality but if you want you can also order a nice glass of wine. Let’s be honest: no great story ever started with a salad;) Fun fact: The wine at is produced exclusively for Tartinery in their own vineyards in the Provence in France.
The signature dish from the restaurant is the Tartine. I tried the tartine with shaved asparagus and avocado and then I understood why the tartine is the signature dish of the restaurant.
Another meal I highly recommend from the menu is the organic quinoa bowl. Many people find that quinoa often has little taste but this bowl was so delicious because they prepare it with only pure and fresh products. The other secret how they created the great taste I don’t know because it didn’t taste the same when I tried to make it at home… Tartinery also has many delicious juices, which they freshly prepare for you after you ordered.
The other Tartinery restaurants are located downtown at Brookfields place and in the Plaza near Central Park. I was lucky enough to experience the pop up restaurant for this summer near the water in Battery Park where I enjoyed a delicious lunch outside in the sun.
