Soon mommy-to-be and top model Rose Bertram is our Model of the Week, and how couldn’t she after the amazing cover for Vogue Netherlands that will be in the stores next year!
Rose grew up in the Belgium city Kortrijk. Her father is Belgian and her mother is Portuguese. When she was 13 years old, her mother signed her with a modeling agency. Three years later she was scouted by Domonique and first attracted notice in a photo-shoot with Juergen Teller for Jambox. Ever since, she has appeared in campaigns for H&M, L’Oréal, Primark, and Hunkemöller. She moved to America when she turned 18 and signed with Marilyn.
Bertram lives with the famous Dutch soccer player Gregory van er Wiel, whom she met when she was 17 years old. They previously lived in Paris but after his transfer to the Turkish club Fenerbahce in 2016, they moved to Istanbul. Rose is pregnant with their first child which they expect next year.
Rose Bertram will be on the Dutch cover of Vogue in the begin of the new year. The pictures are more than beautiful and it’s also the first pregnant Dutch cover in history. Congratz!!
The first dutch VOGUE @nlvogue pregnancy cover in History!!!! IS THIS REAL!??? 😫 Most of you know that i’m not the standard model in terms of (height/seizes). I was 13years old when i started modelling, and had been told i would never be able to make a real carreer in the modelling industry. This is exactly what made me work harder and if you know me then you obviously know that i don’t take no for an answer. I started travelling by myself, contacting photographers (working on my book) many countless nights without my family & i also had to quit school when i was 17. I don’t come from a rich family so I didn’t have a lot of money to pay for hotels, taxi’s, flights etc. I used to rent a little room in other peoples appartement in different cities so that i could be able to do my castings & photoshoots and hoping i could book a big job one day… I could write a book about all the ups & downs i had to go through but long story short IT WAS NOT EASY AT ALL. With that being said you guys can not imagine what this covers means to me… there’s a whole story behind my achievements. I want to thank the whole @nlvogue @karinswerinkvogue and @iamiconmanagement team for making my dream become reality. I always said that a Vogue cover would be a DREAM COME TRUE! This is one of the biggest moments in my life and a very proud moment to myself for all the hard work and struggles and especially all the NO’s in my career that i had to deal with. And not only am i on a vogue cover, but im sharing this cover with the biggest blessing in my life and that is my babygirl! What an amazing start for 2018!!!!!! Guys i am so emotional & gratefull and thankfulll and what more can i say!???!!! ❤️🙌🏽 GOD IS EXTRAORDINARY!! My full interview is available in @VogueNL so go get your copy in stores now! #NoLimit ( Oh and btw, im never going to have to photoshop myself on a Vogue cover hahaahah!!! #VOGUEBIHHHHH 🤣😫 ) #VogueNL #VogueJanuaryIssue
