Tell us about your career as model. How did you get started?
A couple of months ago I sent pictures to my agency. When I was younger, some people told me I should try to send some pictures. It has actually always been a dream of mine so I am very happy I did it. And I am just starting so I’m curious about what the future holds.
When did you first sign with an agency and what was that like?
I first signed with MAX Models just a couple of months ago. I was thrilled when that happened, I’m excited about the future.
What is one of your favorite photographs from your career so far? Who shot it?
Peter Orré. He actually was the photographer during my first test shoot. He made me feel comfortable, gave good advice and is very friendly. The shoot itself was also one of my favorites, it was all very natural one. I wasn’t wearing any makeup, my hair wasn’t done. The pictures were in black and white and it was all raw and pure.
Please tell us a bit more about your mother agency.
I am very happy I signed with Max Models in Rotterdam, they made me feel welcome the very first time I stepped into the agency. They are professional, very friendly, and give me really good guidance which is very important.
What are the main challenges in modeling today?
I think to stay true to yourself, to be unique and not be affected by competition. I’m glad that I am from Friesland, people here are very down to earth.
Do you think models are able to find long lasting friendships within the industry today?
I think it would be difficult because you are traveling a lot, but definitely possible to find a long lasting friendship.
What is your favorite thing to do when not working?
I love to paint! Some of them you can see on my Instagram, actually I also want to start making my own website within a half year so people can buy them if they are interested. I enjoy painting land and seascapes, I tried painting portraits a couple of times but I find that very difficult. Besides that I hit the gym at least 3 times a week, I love to travel and hanging out with friends.
Take us through a typical day in the life of Bianca.
Hm a typical day.. I usually always start the day with a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast or in the weekend banana pancakes with Greek Yogurt and some blueberries). I try to work out as much as possible and usually I do that in the morning, good start of the day. After that I make a nice lunch and do some painting or do homework for school. I travel quit a lot with the train back and forward, I live in Sneek but Amsterdam and Rotterdam are cities that I visit a lot. I like to read so whenever I am traveling I take a good book with me. When I’m home alone I listen a lot of music whenever I can. I prefer the music really loud and sing with the lyrics, all though that probably doesn’t make a lot of people very happy ;)..
I live close to the forest so every now and then I go for a walk, sometimes when I’m in the center of the city I visit a pet store, just to cuddle with the animals for a moment.. I love animals but unfortunately we don’t have any pets at home. In the evening I like to hang out with friends, have a drink in a nice restaurant or watch a comedy movie.
What is your favorite healthy snack?
Different kind of nuts, like almonds and cashew.
What music are you into at the moment?
Lately I listen a lot to chill step and deep house. It really depends on my mood actually, sometimes I listen to classical music, or only music with piano. Other times I listen to SLAM FM and whatever song is playing and sing along.
What’s your beauty regimen like? Any secrets?
Of course drinking a lot of water. I drink at least 2 liter every day and I can really tell it helps a lot for my skin. Getting enough sleep is very important. Besides that I use an exfoliant with Salicyd Acid every day before I go to sleep and I always take off my make-up.
What’s your favorite place in the world?
I just started modeling for a couple of months so I haven’t really traveled far yet. But during the holidays almost every year we went to France, to visit friends. I love it there, I think that because I went there so many times it started to feel like a second home to me. I just really enjoy the people, culture and the language.
