I´ve spent a lot of time in London. Did you know that there are more than 300 languages spoken in London, more than in any other city in the world?!
This is maybe the best point to start my article about the city. You will meet so many different people and cultures in the city that Its not possible to get bored. But lets start with modeling. There are so many agencies and it is a tough market to start. But the good thing is, that it has a big commercial market for online and print catalogues. People are super friendly and I especially like that they are well organized. You will do a lot request castings as the chose before. If you are a fashion model you can built your portfolio here.
London is the base of many great photographers and designer. To name the biggest agencies: Storm, Elite, Select, Models1, Premier…. but If you are not feeling comfortable with them you can also go with a smaller boutique agency like Milk, Bookings or Zone.
However, you will have a great time, If you use it. I´ve spent my first weeks in London with a lot of castings…up to ten per day. When I started to work, I was really excited to spend my time in museums, restaurants, pubs and cool vintage or food markets.
You will have a lot of go sees and castings at the famous Vogue house.
London based artists Adele, Coldplay, Pink Floyd and Amy Winehouse (RIP) continue to be some of the world’s best-selling recording artists and amass around £2bn in worldwide sales!!
The other night I went to a club and Kelis performed!
There are many areas where I like to walk around. If you are in London you shouldn’t miss: Tottenham Court Road, Notting Hill, Camden Town, Shoreditch, Soho and Covent Garden.
If you are lucky and you have time on a Sunday you should visit the flower market at Colombia Road, East London. There are also amazing food markets like the Brick Lane Market or Borough Market. In the area of Borough Market you can also find a lot of great vintage stores.
London has over 170 museums with 11 national museums including the British Museum – home to thousands of years of culture including the Rosetta Stone. My favorite one is of course the Tate Modern
I could write ten pages about restaurants, bars and clubs, but here are my favorite ones for you:
Last but not least:
