How did you start modeling?
'While on an exchange program from the University of Utrecht to the University of Stellenbosch.'
What does your career do for you?
'It enables me to follow my other interests.'
What’s your most memorable shoot?
'I think the first time I flew somewhere for this job. It was to the Seychelles for English Marie Claire. The sheer luxury of this trip, which I had never seen before, was overwhelming.'
What do you think MODELLIST-ID can do for the model community?
'With the amount of traveling done by models, I think it is great to have a way of finding each other easier. Also, in a work field where there is still no union, I think any platform that can connect models further is a great thing.'

Who do you admire and would you like to meet?
'Anyone with a true passion for what they do. For example, Andre Kuipers, our Dutch astronaut. A very intelligent, highly educated man, who has an almost childlike grin in every picture you see of him in space. He's not ashamed of the fact that he loves what he does, and not ashamed to show it either.'

What’s your favorite book/film/music?
'Book: I love popular scientific books such as 'A short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson, literature such as 'Everything is Illuminated' by Jonathan Safran Foer but I also love reading thrillers, my favorite thriller author is Jo Nesbo. Music: Elbow, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, The National,The Whitest Boy Alive, The XX, and many others.'
What’s your beauty regime?
None.

What are your favourite hang out spots in the city you live in(current location)?
'I only live in Amsterdam for a year, but so far my favorite spot in this city is Roest.'
What is your favourite city and where do you like to hang out there?
'Living in New York was very special. My favorite hang out spot there was Washington Square Park.'

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
'Don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to, think about what your limits are and learn how to say no. Besides that, always remember who your friends are before all of this started. And most importantly, enjoy!'
What are your future plans?
'I hope to work in the field of psychology in the future.'
